
Proposed Amendment to Church Bylaws
Old Language Section 3. Quorum
In order that any business may be transacted at a meeting of the Church Council, there must be a quorum constituted by the Priest in Charge, the Senior and Junior Wardens and at least five other members of the Church Council or in the absence of the Priest in Charge, the Wardens, the Treasurer and at least five other members of the Council.
New Language Section 3. Quorum
In order to constitute a quorum of the Council for the transaction of business, there shall be present either:
a. The Priest in Charge, one of the wardens and six (6) Council members, or
b. The Priest in Charge, both wardens and five (5) Council members.
In the absence of the Priest in Charge, the two Wardens, the Treasurer and at least five other members of the Council shall constitute a quorum. When a quorum is duly constituted, the act of the majority of the Council members present at the meeting shall be the act of the Council.
